1. SLOW DOWN
Breath, soak up the sun, meditate or just be in the moment. These are wonderful things that guide our energy into a calm and steady pace. Holding this space through the silly season is huge!
2. SELF CARE
The routine of our self care processes can go out the window when we are on holidays especially through the silly season. Keep these healthy habits in effect during this period so your body continues to fire on all cylinders. This means healthy eating, sunlight, filtered water, thinking well, getting adjusted & sharing 'the love'!
Advanced Bio-Structural Correction (ABC) is the technique we use here at Wave. If you have never experienced an ABC adjustment then you have not seen anything like it!
Here are some of the WOW factors of an ABC adjustment:

It's SPRING!
This wonderful season is a time for sunshine, new life/growth, warmth & a time to recharge the body!
Make this seasonal change an opportunity to re-invigorate your health & evolve to a higher level of function! Here are some great tips & ideas to include this spring to spruce up your body, your health & your life!
1. NATURE
Get out there is nature and absorb the patience, flow and energy that comes from connecting with the great outdoors. Use all your senses; taste, touch, sight, sound & smell. Kick your shoes off, get down in the dirt and feel it!
2. DETOX
As many of you will know I've just completed a 21 day cleanse! So, I'm really 'hot' on detoxing at the moment! What I experienced though was profound & impressed upon me the need for our systems to clear out the garbage periodically. Even though I felt I lived very clean & only (well mostly!) put the good stuff in, I still experienced wonderful detox changes throughout my cleanse. So, even if your doing a great job their is something special about hitting the reset button to allow your body to get on top of things. Anyway, isn't this the time for spring cleaning!
On a side note - my wife Dallen has just started a Functional Nutrition course with renowned Nutritionist Cyndi O'Meara so she will soon be able to give advice on appropriate cleanse protocols that will work for your body - keep posted for more soon.

Resistance is a property of a well balanced, well functioning body (A WELL ADJUSTED BODY). The greater your resistance the more stress your body can handle without effect. Stressors at this level are like a speed bump that you quickly pop over and past.
Low resistance means only a small amount of stress can be handled before your body blows out! This level is like treading water; you just keep a handle on the most basic day-to-day stress. Any extra immune, emotional, physical or chemical stressors quickly overwhelm the body, leaving you in a state of bother. Lots of you will easily relate to this feeling of just keeping your head above water!
If the stressors continue to overwhelm your resistance, the sympathetic nervous system will go onto overdrive. Leading to an overactive state where the body is constantly frantic, fatigued, sleeping poorly, hard to switching off, restless, irritable, moody, and to top it off a foggy/fuzzy head.
Serves 6-8 adults
Paleo friendly
Ingredients:
1 x large organic/free range chook
1 x large onion finely chopped
4 x cloves of garlic crushed
1 x ribizome of tumeric finely diced (optional)
1 x small chili (optional)
4 x carrots roughly chopped
½ x celery including leaves, roughly chopped
2 x bay leaves
Imagine this scenario in your head.
You are out at your favourite local restaurant with friends celebrating something magical. A birthday, an anniversary, a raise or even Friday. Everyone orders a refreshing beverage and some nibbles that match the drinks perfectly (and you didn’t even mean to pair it so perfectly). Suddenly you hear the sound of something quickly pushed to the side like it fell over. Everyone looks over and notices a 30 something male stumbling around and vomiting into the garbage bin next to the bar. He is pale, looks like he may have a beer belly and he smells awful (the person to your right may of gave you all of their food because they lost their appetite). You look over at the bartender shaking her head. She is slim in figure, has thin blonde hair, seems like she has a lot of makeup on and may be a bit clumsy. She is a similar age to the man who is making a scene in the restaurant.
Now lets make some first impressions on who is healthier.
Most people who I talk to have made the guess that the bartender is the healthier one between the two. No outwardly symptoms, one would imagine she doesn’t smell like the man and she seems to have more energy.
Now let’s add some back story to create the whole picture.

But that also means that it can take us from poor to average, or even bad to poor. Yes it’s an improvement, but who really wants to be average let alone bad/poor?
We live in a society where the ‘quick’ reins supreme. Fast food, same day delivery, fast weight loss, quick pain relief and the list goes on and on, but what is this really doing to us? How is this serving us? Yes we are getting our fat free, low cal, no carb/high carb orange decaf mocha frappuccino in record times where even Usain Bolt starts to worry, but it starts to put unrealistic expectations on the reality of our situations especially towards our health.
Most people are looking for that one thing at that one time to “cure” them of everything that they have going one and it simply doesn’t work like that. Dr. John Demartini said “Those looking for the magic bullet often get shot” and this reins true to our health where we spend the time and money to fix something but in reality we are just masking the symptoms and letting the underlying problem continue to fester.
One of the core principals in Chiropractic stated in Ralph W. Stephenson’s book the Chiropractic Textbook is The Principal of Time where it states, “there is no process that does not require time” and this applies to everything. Lets look at learning. Can we really expect to learn a new thing instantly? Do you remember how long it took you to walk? How long it took you to write? How long it took you to talk to "that girl/boy you liked"? I'm sure some of us are still learning some of these. How can our health be any different? We were born with the potential of true health and we are the ones that over time that have compromised that potential. Do you have 5,10, 20 or even 50 years of poor health choices? Did those poor choices affect the way your nervous system works? How has your body coped with those choices? Can you expect your body to magically get back to that point of optimal health? It's going to take some time, commitment and patience on your part.

DUNSTAN BABY LANGUAGE is a remarkable guide and tool to help parents understand the universal language of their newborn. All babies are born with an innate intelligence to understand and communicate their needs.
All newborn babies produce 5 distinct pre-cry sounds that signal their 5 most important needs. This system will teach you to identify the various sounds your baby is communicating so you know precisely what your baby needs. The degree that parents tune-in to their babies communication and respond to their unique needs will determine the ease and joy they experience through this amazing time in life.

Being your best is not so much about overcoming the barriers other people place in front of you, as it is about overcoming the barriers you place in front of yourself.
These "dragons" take many shapes and forms, it's a very individual thing. However, one thing is for certain, you can SLAY ANY DRAGON simply by thinking differently! We all have a magic sword, its called our MIND. Work on your ability to conquer any personal "dragons" which may stand in your way. Try to discover what your 'dragon" is doing to hinder your progress and then think of a way to slay it!
We constantly make comparisons in our lives, we compare to old version of ourselves, other people, co-workers and more. Strangely we usually do this in an unfair way, comparing the best of someone else with the worst of ourselves. Instead embrace all parts of yourself, balance these lopsided comparisons by observing where you have the others strengths and where they have your weaknesses. When you realise that there is nothing missing, everything is there just in different forms, you can embrace your unique GENIUS and reach your full potential.
