Then we are talking about increasing our performance. Now the performance we are talking is not a performance that you sit, watch and enjoy, although the best games and matches are so thrilling and exciting it is hard to tell the difference. Migraines & Chiropractic Care

New research is pointing to the meninges (the tissues that wraps around the brain/spinal cord) as the priming factor of a migraine. This means that the negative input from this tissue will sensitise the brain to triggers that would not otherwise cause a problem. Clinically this is meaningful as it highlights the importance of assessing and adjusting the meninges. Our adjusting technique called Advanced Bio-Structural Correction (ABC) is focused on the addressing adverse tension on the meninges and its influence on the brain and body structure.

The Magic Bullet

magic marketing bullet 777x437

We live in a society where the ‘quick’ reins supreme. Fast food, same day delivery, fast weight loss, quick pain relief and the list goes on and on, but what is this really doing to us? How is this serving us? Yes we are getting our fat free, low cal, no carb/high carb orange decaf mocha frappuccino in record times where even Usain Bolt starts to worry, but it starts to put unrealistic expectations on the reality of our situations especially towards our health.

Most people are looking for that one thing at that one time to “cure” them of everything that they have going one and it simply doesn’t work like that.  Dr. John Demartini said “Those looking for the magic bullet often get shot” and this reins true to our health where we spend the time and money to fix something but in reality we are just masking the symptoms and letting the underlying problem continue to fester.

One of the core principals in Chiropractic stated in Ralph W. Stephenson’s book the Chiropractic Textbook is The Principal of Time where it states, “there is no process that does not require time” and this applies to everything. Lets look at learning. Can we really expect to learn a new thing instantly? Do you remember how long it took you to walk? How long it took you to write? How long it took you to talk to "that girl/boy you liked"? I'm sure some of us are still learning some of these. How can our health be any different? We were born with the potential of true health and we are the ones that over time that have compromised that potential. Do you have 5,10, 20 or even 50 years of poor health choices? Did those poor choices affect the way your nervous system works? How has your body coped with those choices? Can you expect your body to magically get back to that point of optimal health? It's going to take some time, commitment and patience on your part.
